Jelmez-Art Kft. (Ltd.) is a completely unique medium-sized enterprise not only in Szolnok but throughout Hungary—a costume manufacturing company with high production capacity and an extensive network of international partners.
As we have worked in numerous countries across Europe and the US, word of our reliable and professionally competent work has reached an increasing number of theaters and opera houses. As a result, the number of our international orders and the scope of our partnerships are constantly growing.
We consider it our duty to fulfill orders to a high standard, on time, and with precision, while fully meeting our clients’ needs.
In the beginning, the company had only a small sewing workshop and outdated machinery at its disposal. Thanks to developments over the years, costumes are now produced using the most modern sewing machines and technology. From the very beginning to the present day, we value the employees who work at the company and assist the newly arrived seamstresses and tailors in their work.
The company has participated in the creation of costumes for numerous theater, dance, and film productions across Europe, ensuring that the vision conceived by directors and choreographers is brought to life on stage even more effectively through the costumes.
A milestone in the company’s development came in 2007 when we joined the sponsors of the Armel Opera Competition and Festival. Thanks to the opera competition, costumes made in Szolnok have appeared on famous stages in Germany, Norway, France, Switzerland, Poland, and the United States.
Over the past few years, we have created costumes for more than 400 international productions across 17 countries. Our loyal partners include the Austrian Bregenzer Festspiele, the Theater an der Wien, the Norwegian Bergen Nasjonale Opera, the German Bayreuther Festspiele, the New York City Opera, and Berlin-based TUI Cruises Entertainment. Recognizing the accuracy and precision of our work, we now count numerous international opera houses among our returning partners.
